Modeselektor - "Sucker Pin"

From their 2007 release Happy Birthday! To be honest, these guys are kind of hit or miss as far as I'm concerned. I have some friends who are in LOVE with this record, and I've listened a few times to see if I was missing something. They definitely grew on me, but I can't say I love the majority of their output. When they're on, they're on though, and this track definitely stands out on this record (as well as their collaboration with Thom Yorke on one of the songs). They just released a new collaboration with Apparat under the name Moderat, which I feel the same way about. Some serious gems on there, but some fairly boring tracks as well. If you like this one though, check the album out for yourself and see what you think.

Cardopusher - "Double Dragon Dub"

cardopusher - "double dragon dub"

Meet Cardopusher. His real name is Luis Garban. He's from Spain. He makes some pretty amazing, bass-heavy, dub influenced bangers. He has a brand new remix up from Kid606 on his myspace page, and he's also recently made one of Thom Yorke's top music charts. Unfortunately, I can only offer a stream of this track, but if you'd like to pick this up on vinyl, you can go here to buy it.
